Getting Appointments

I’m now here at the house of Rose & Tim, I’ll be staying here temporarily while I’m still looking for a place to stay, their condo unit is good, nice rooms, great facilities, centralized air conditioning system, it’s like I’m in a hotel, only there’s no room boy, hehe… they even have a fully equipped gym, and sauna which they said I can use if I’m free. But the only concern is the location, it’s quite far from the main business district of Dubai, it’s like “the fort” of Philippines, when it’s still being built. Their place is called “International City” ii has a very huge land area with different “region”, there is “Persian, Chinese, Morocco, Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Russian region Rose added that this will be the “New Dubai” when its completely done.

It’s a good thing I have a friend here to help and accommodate me. Without them I don’t know where I am right now. I’m still lucky to have them.

And since I still don’t have any appointments, I’ll be a telemarketer today, I’ll be calling different distribution companies on my list, as well as some shops which Tim referred to me.

I talked to my friend in Abu Dhabi and things are getting clearer for me to make a presentation to her friends’ boss, she only need to confirm if her boss will have an operation on Thursday. Hopefully by tomorrow she can confirm my appointment. He’s a dermatologist by the way.

I also talked to my high school batch mate who apparently is working at Spinney’s, a popular supermarket here in Dubai and she referred me to the Marketing Manager, I introduced myself, my company and the products I’m carrying. She said Spinney’s is importing Filipino products direct from Philippines, I said that’s good coz our company manufactures our products, it means they can get the products direct from us I asked her also if they have a distributor in Philippines, she only answered she’s not in the position to answer that question and their purchasing manager is the one who is in charge of that operation, she said I can contact him on Sunday, because right now he is on a business trip. For me this is a good prospect, having several branches here in Dubai, adding to that, Rose said that Spinney’s is famous on Europeans; they usually got there for shopping. Tomorrow I’ll be visiting one of the branches of Spinney’s to check their prices and some of the Filipino products they are selling.
