The Emirates,Jack Daniel's, The Guardian and The Lord

February 23, 2007

Hello Dubai! Is my battle cry, Dubai will be my next project and will be my bridge towards getting inside the Middle East market. This is my 1st time to visit Dubai and my 1st time to be in the air for more than 8 hours, my flight to Dubai will take 9 hours and it’s already past 12 midnight (Philippine time) and I’m still awake, even with 4 shots of Jack Daniel’s Whisky and 2 cans of Heineken beer. I think it’s because of my mixed emotions. Nervous and excitement. Nervous of what will happen when I arrive in Dubai and excitement on what will happen during my stay in Dubai, since I only have 2 weeks to accomplish my tasks here. And I’m pretty sure it’s a very tiring and challenging 2 weeks for me. Of all the challenges that came in to my life, there is only 1 thing I put in my mind. And it’s “to think positive”

My trip to Dubai is like a gamble, my boss and my manager doesn’t know anything about Dubai market but still they sent me there. I like this attitude, maybe it’s the same with me, and it’s like the popular Filipino line, “Bhala na” me also doesn’t know anything about Dubai market or even the culture there. But everything now I give my trust on the Holy Spirit and God. I know even if I’m miles away from home, they will still guide me and give me strength to accomplish my tasks here. It may sound corny to you but it’s the truth.

Since I’m riding Boeing 777, my flight to Dubai from Manila was smooth except for 1 male Flight attendant who gave me 2 x winks. I just wish she’s a female attendant. Hehehe.. By the way he/she’s an Arab looking guy, I planned to walk and take a small tour of the plane but because of those winks, I just stayed in my seat. I’m really not comfortable with those kinds of people. I’d rather have bad times with you, than good times with someone else…. Hehehehe…

This flight is composed of mostly Filipino/Filipina (OCW) Overseas Contract Workers, I was mistaken by my seatmate as one of them, my only answer was, “I’m not an OCW, and I’m on a mission, a mission to bring the WORLD closer to Philippines and to my company, NATURALE LABS, INC. herong hero ang dating, thanks to Mark for lending me a cd of “heroes the series” hehehehe…

By the way, I will still wait for 5 hours till touch down to Dubai, now I’m watching “Devil wears Prada” my 1st movie is “The Guardian” to ease up my boredom, hehehe.. I’m not really comfortable on sleeping during flights. I’m planning to take sleeping pills but I’m afraid I won’t wake up when we touch down on Dubai. Hehehe..

I will be arriving Dubai airport at 11:45 pm February 23, 2007 and that’s 3:00am Feb. 24, 2007. (Philippine time).

Your appeal is extraordinary! *Wink* *Wink*

Thou we don't know anything concrete in U.A.E. We know that opportunities are there and that our brands are ready!

This is also one of the biggest challenges I've faced... and we're not stopping!

Ano pang kwenta mabuhay kung walang challenge!
